Η 6μελής ομάδα του Αστρονομικού Συλλόγου Δυτικής Μακεδονίας επέστρεψε με αξέχαστες εμπειρίες από το ταξίδι της στο Τέξας των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών Αμερικής, για την παρατήρηση της ολικής έκλειψης ηλίου που σημειώθηκε στις 8 Απριλίου 2024.
Παρά τις δυσμενείς συνθήκες λόγω της έντονης συννεφιάς που κυριάρχησε στην περιοχή, οι ερασιτέχνες αστρονόμοι του συλλόγου με αμέτρητη αφοσίωση, ενθουσιασμό και υπομονή κατόρθωσαν τελικά να παρακολουθήσουν και να καταγράψουν όλες τις φάσεις της ολικής έκλειψης με εντυπωσιακότερη τη στιγμή της ολικότητας που κυριολεκτικά κατέδειξε το μεγαλείο του πανέμορφου, σπάνιου φυσικού φαινομένου.
Η επιτυχής αποστολή της ομάδας αποτελεί μια ένδειξη του πάθους και της δέσμευσής τους στην εξερεύνηση και την κατανόηση του σύμπαντος.
